Dean Noble has been with Joe Gibbs Racing since 1997 and serves as Senior Vice President of Business Affairs. Dean works on a number of business initiatives but has the primary focus for the team’s sponsors. In doing so he has put together some of the largest and most successful sponsorship deals in sports. He enjoys a relationship with many of the most prominent leaders in corporate America and finds pleasure in providing solutions oriented marketing platforms tailored to meet specific needs and objectives. He is supported by at team of account managers whose daily focus is the success of those platforms.
After graduation from college he began a banking career which spanned more than 18 years At Wachovia he served in both commercial and retail banking functions and was responsible for building the bank’s first Business Banking Group and later helped to launch and lead the bank’s first Private Banking Group. He spent three years with Alabama based SouthTrust (which later became Wachovia) as it launched its banking presence in North Carolina. It was there that he met Joe Gibbs who was in his last year of coaching the Redskins. The rest is history or as Joe says “I hired him to get me out of debt and that was 17 years ago …”
Dean has been active in the community for years. He has served as Chairman of the NC Small Business Administration Advisory Board, Chairman of the UNC Charlotte College of Business Advisory Board; President of the Metrolina Entrepeurial Council and co founder of the Carolinas Business Roundtable. Socially he has served on such diverse boards as the African- American Cultural Center and was a member of the Executive Committee of the Mecklenburg County Republican Party. He has served on the Boards of the YMCA Camp Thunderbird and Charlotte’s public television station WTVI and many other boards. He has contributed his time and money to many efforts to help the poor and needy of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area where he continues to volunteer.
He makes his home in Davidson, NC with his wife Jackie and their two children. Both children are very active in sports (any sport with a ball) and in their school which consumes all the family’s free time.
