Drew Herring’s Bio Continued
Herring made his NASCAR series debut in 2010 where he finished 15th in his first Nationwide Series race at Iowa Speedway. He drew the season to a close posting two top-20 finishes in four starts. In 2011, the Joe Gibbs Racing wheelman finished 12th or better in all four of his NASCAR Nationwide Series starts, claiming two top-10 finishes while leading 39 laps and completing all 929 laps available.
The 2012 season marked Herring’s first start in Joe Gibbs Racing’s No. 18 Toyota at Kentucky Speedway where he qualified fourth and finished fourth while leading 2 laps throughout the race. In the same year Herring debuted in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for Kyle Busch Motorsports at Iowa Speedway where he led 19 laps that earned him a 7th place finish.
Herring makes racing the most significant part of his life, but values his education as well. He is studying mechanical engineering in his senior year at North Carolina State University. Herring is the 2013 test driver for Joe Gibbs Racing and Kyle Busch Motorsports.
