Much like his teammate Denny Hamlin did just one week ago in Kansas, Kyle Busch patiently raced inside the top five all night, then received a phenomenal pit stop from his crew and drove away over the final laps to win tonight’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Capital City 400 at Richmond International Raceway.

Denny Hamlin patiently raced inside the top five all day and then when the moment was right made the move to the front of the field to bring home the win in today’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series STP 400 at Kansas Speedway. Meanwhile all three JGR teams would earn top 15 finishes, with Hamlin’s teammates Kyle Busch and Joey Logano coming home 10th and 15th respectively.
Kyle Busch led Joe Gibbs Racing with an 11th-place finish in today’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Samsung Mobile 500 at Texas Motor Speedway, while Denny Hamlin came home 12th and Joey Logano finished 19th.
Busch, started the No. 18 Interstate Batteries Toyota in 17th and despite battling changing handling conditions through the early portion of the night he was able to remain in the top-15. Busch would manage to battle just outside the top ten through the first half of the race, but the team would make a bigger swing at tightening up the car around the midpoint of the race. The adjustments certainly helped as Busch was able to start gaining positions. However, a record long 234 lap green flag run to end the race limited the team’s ability to continue working on the car’s handling.
