The Coca-Cola 600 from Charlotte Motor Speedway is the annual endurance test on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule. Often times it can feel like two races and not only because of the necessary 400 laps to complete the full 600 miles around the mile and a half speedway, but also because of the changing track conditions when the heat of the day changes to the cool of the night once the sun sets behind the grandstands.

All Star Race in the books

With no points at stake and thus no possible affect on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series standings, the Sprint All-Star race has become known for some exciting racing with teams fighting for the one million dollar prize.

This year’s Sprint All-Star race was run in five segments. The first four were each 20 laps in length and new for this year is that the winner of each segment guarantees himself a spot in the top four when the cars come down pit road for a mandatory pit stop prior to a final 10-lap sprint to the checkered flag.

Darlington: Well Done.

It was a strong night for Joe Gibbs Racing on what is widely considered to be one of the most difficult tracks on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Circuit having earned the reputation as the track “too tough to tame.”

JGR raced inside the top ten all night and when the Bojangles Southern 500 had concluded all three of their teams earned finishes in the top ten, with Denny Hamlin second, Kyle Busch fourth, and Joey Logano tenth.

Logano wins NW Race in Darlington!

Joey Logano captured victory in the VFW SportClips Help a Hero 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Darlington on Friday night! It was Logano’s second win of the season and the first time Dollar General has visited victory lane with JGR. Denny Hamlin dominated for much of the race, but a late race tangle between Elliott Sadler and Logano and engine woes forced Hamlin to settle for second-place in the No. 18 SportClips Toyota. Brian Scott capped off a great night for JGR by finishing 7th in his No. 11 Dollar General Toyota.
