Joey Logano On Michigan:

"I'm actually looking forward to going back to Michigan. It should be much better than the first time we were there. After going to Pocono for the second time you realize how much further you are ahead now with a race under your belt. We have our own notes to go off of now and we should be able to work on the car when we unload.

"We had a solid point's day in Watkins Glen so I am pretty happy about that. I messed up once and got caught up in the incident with (Sam) Hornish and (Jeff) Gordon. But the team fixed the car and got me back out on the track to finish 16th. We really want to stay in the top 20 and work toward finishing in the top 15."

Late-Race Accident Ends Top-20 Run for The Home Depot Team

Joey Logano was poised to earn another top-20 finish this weekend at Pocono Raceway when a late-race incident damaged the right front of The Home Depot Toyota. The No. 20 crew repaired the car over several stops and kept Logano on the lead lap to finish 27th. He remains 19th in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series standings.

"It was a tough day for The Home Depot Team," said Logano. "We were getting ready to restart in the top 10 with 30 to go when I felt the left rear tire down. We had to come in and pit, and we got lucky because a caution came out right after it and we got

Pocono Preview: Quotes

"I'm looking forward to this weekend. Aside from Daytona which is a different kind of race, this is the first track that I am going back to with The Home Depot Team. It's going to be so different now that I won't be spending practice and half the race figuring out the track. We will be able to unload off the truck and really get to tuning on the race car. That's a huge confidence booster going into the race weekend because Pocono is such a unique track. The corners are all different, one minute you are running on new asphalt the next it's older and worn. But I have my own notes I am going to go over, re-watch the race and come into the weekend knowing what I want and need in the car.

"Coming off last weekend and the last stretch of races has been great for the entire team. Everyone is confident, everyone has great attitudes and we are all having fun. We overcame a lot last weekend and finished 12th, that's huge at a track where it was harder to pass than any place I've been so far. I am really looking forward to the final half of the season and seeing what we can do as a race team."

- Joey Logano, NASCAR driver of the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 20 Home Depot Toyota race car.
