CONCORD, N.C. (Oct. 17, 2009) - Joey Logano and The Home Depot Team were the picture of perseverance at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday night, overcoming an early mistake on pit road to charge back and earn their second top-five finish of the 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season. Logano was in the fifth position and battling for fourth with four-time champion Jeff Gordon when the checkered flag waved.

"This was a really good run, something that we really needed with the Home Depot Toyota," said Logano. "I screwed up in the pits early. On the first stop of the race I missed my box, put us in the back but we fought back. I couldn't catch a break all day but overall it was really fun. Jeff [Gordon] and I went hard there at the end. That's really cool. I never really got to run against Jeff at the end of a race like that for position. We were running door to door and he was on my door trying to take the air off and I was down on the bottom trying not to wreck and going as fast as I can trying to pass him. It was fun. I had a blast but came up a little short."

FONTANA, Calif. (Oct. 11, 2009) - Joey Logano and The Home Depot Team's" never-give-up attitude" earned them a 14th-place finish at Auto Club Speedway in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. The No. 20 Toyota Camry got extremely loose on two consecutive long green-flag runs that dropped it as far back as 31st in the running order and a lap down to the leader, only to have the team rally and finish on the lead lap in the 14th position.

Kansas Race Report

Kansas City, Kan. (October 4, 2009) ----- It was just one of those days for Joey Logano and The Home Depot Team at Kansas Speedway - if it could go wrong it did. Logano started from the 18th position, spun on lap two, was caught up in a wreck five laps later, had a loose lugnut, lost power steering and ran out of fuel on the final lap to finish 28th in the Price Chopper 400.

"There's not much you can say about a day like today," said Logano. "We tried everything we could to salvage the day, but it just wasn't happening for The Home Depot Team. I tried the high groove early and it was way too loose and I spun the car around. I didn't hit anything but we were back in the pack and had to play catch up. When the 98 car spun everyone checked up and I got into the back of the 19. It was downhill from there. I guess you can look at the bright side and say at least we crossed the finish line with four tires on the ground, we were out of gas but we finished."
