Denny Hamlin led Joe Gibbs Racing with a strong second-place effort in today’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Lenox Industrial Tools 301 from New Hampshire Motor Speedway, while teammates Joey Logano and Kyle Busch finished 14th and 16th respectively.

“It is a great track and a place that has been good for this team in the past. We seem to run a little better here in the summer than we do in the fall so we’ll be trying to run as well as we have here in past summers but also take something with us to learn from. This track is faster than you would think so you need horsepower to take advantage of the long straights, but getting through, and off, the corner is where you win or lose at New Hampshire. It’s definitely a little bit different than any other track we go to because it almost seems like it’s banked in the other direction on the bottom. But you can go way up high or run on the bottom so there are some options for you to find a fast line.”

Joey Logano would survive yet another wild finish tonight to lead Joe Gibbs Racing with a fourth-place finish in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Coke Zero 400 from Daytona International Speedway. Unfortunately teammates Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin were unable to avoid one of several late-race accidents and were left to finish 24th and 25th respectively.
All three Joe Gibbs Racing entries would spend the first half of the race using caution on the track in an effort to avoid any potential early accidents while running in the familiar pack style of racing at the 2.5-mile superspeedway. Fortunately for everyone, there were no major accidents and the first caution of the night wouldn’t come out until midway through the 160-lap race.

Denny Hamlin led Joe Gibbs Racing with a third-place run in tonight’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Quaker State 400 from Kentucky Speedway, while teammates Kyle Busch and Joey Logano finished 10th and 22nd respectively.
Hamlin started his No. 11 FedEx Express Toyota third and raced inside the top five through the first half of the race as the team worked to free him up from tight handling conditions. A tremendous pit stop by the FedEx crew put Hamlin in second for a restart on lap 130 and he was able to just get past his teammate Busch to gain the lead for the first time on the night. Hamlin would go on to lead the next 56 laps. Hamlin would race among the leaders the rest of the way, but was forced to conserve fuel on the final run which limited his ability to catch leader Brad Keselowski. He would go on to finish with a strong third-place effort.
