Z-Line Designs On Board With Busch
World-Renowned Manufacturer of Ready-To-Assemble Furniture Joins Kyle Busch in Joe Gibbs Racing’s No. 18 Toyota at New Hampshire
HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (June 27, 2008) – Z-Line Designs, the nation’s leading import manufacturer of home office, home entertainment and home décor ready-to-assemble furniture, will be on board Joe Gibbs Racing’s (JGR) No. 18 Toyota Camry in Saturday’s Camping World Sales 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon.
With Kyle Busch at the wheel, Z-Line Designs will be looking for its third Nationwide Series victory of the season and its first with Busch and JGR’s No. 18 Toyota team. Already this season, Tony Stewart and Denny Hamlin have scored Nationwide Series victories in the No. 20 Z-Line Designs Toyota Camry for JGR at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif., and Dover (Del.) International Speedway, respectively. Hamlin also brought the No. 20 Z-Line Designs machine home in second-place at last month’s Nationwide Series race at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway.
Saturday marks Busch’s third tour of duty in Z-Line Designs livery this season. He qualified on the pole in March at Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway, where he led a race-high 125 laps in the Z-Line Designs car before an off-course excursion sidetracked his march toward victory lane. Busch has four victories and seven top-five finishes in 16 Nationwide Series starts this season, including back-to-back wins with JGR’s No. 18 team at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth and Phoenix International Raceway. He made it a Nationwide Series three-peat by winning the road course race in JGR’s No. 20 Toyota at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City. Busch has two previous Nationwide Series starts at New Hampshire. He qualified on the pole in 2006 before finishing 16th.
“We are thrilled to be part of JGR’s No. 18 effort this weekend with Kyle Busch,” said Jim Sexton, president and chief operating officer of San Ramon, Calif.-based Z-Line Designs. “Kyle certainly has had quite a year already, and he’s coming off yet another dominating NASCAR Sprint Cup Series win for JGR on what we’d call our ‘home track’ last weekend at Sonoma. He’s obviously riding quite a wave of momentum, and we’re proud to have him try and steer us to our third Nationwide Series win of the season at New Hampshire.”
Z-Line Designs’ evolving motorsports program extends this season to the IRL IndyCar Series ranks, where it sponsors the No. 18 Z-Line Designs entry for Dale Coyne Racing and driver Bruno Junqueira. The company is also a leading partner with the national Make-A-Wish Foundation, which grants the wishes of children afflicted with life-threatening illnesses by reaching out to the motorsports audience.
Established in 1995, Z-Line is widely recognized for its quality and innovative designs. Sexton, founder of the company, recognized early on the need for high quality, fashionable furniture to support the exploding market for consumers’ home office and home entertainment technologies. The company’s foresight continues today with the ongoing introduction of pioneering concepts in furnishings.
