International road course by finishing fifth in Saturday’s Zippo 200 at The Glen NASCAR Busch Series race. It was Coleman’s second career top-five finish in 14 starts and his second straight top-10, as the 19-year-old finished eighth last week at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve road course in Montreal.
Denny Hamlin, driver of the No. 20 Rockwell Automation Chevrolet for JGR, finished 14th. It was his 11th top-15 finish in the 13 Busch Series races he has competed in this season.
There were five caution periods for 11 laps, with seven drivers failing to finish the 82-lap race.
With 24 of 35 Busch Series races in the books, the No. 20 car is fourth in owner points, 344 points behind the leading No. 60 car of Roush Fenway Racing. The No. 18 car is 23rd in owner points, only 20 points outside the top-20.
Kevin Harvick scored his 31st career Busch Series victory by winning the Zippo 200 at The Glen, tying him with the legendary Jack Ingram for second on the all-time Busch Series winner’s list. Harvick’s Richard Childress Racing teammate Jeff Burton finished second, while Kurt Busch, Paul Menard and Coleman secured the rest of the top-five.
