HUNTERSVILLE, NC, (May 9, 2005) - Aric Almirola joined teammate Chris Bristol at the Hickory Motor Speedway on May 7 and like Bristol's performance a few weeks earlier, scored a win at the track. Almirola had originally planned to race at the Myrtle Beach Speedway the previous weekend, but his plans were cancelled due to the Darlington race. Almiola decided to join his teammate on the Hickory track for the 50-lap Late Model Series Race where he scored his second win of the season and his first win at Hickory.

Bristol did not have as much luck as his teammate during the event, as he battled mechanical problems in his #92 MBNA Chevrolet for most of the race. The mechanical problems caused Bristol to miss the first practice completely and run poorly during the second practice. He started at the back and got caught up in a wreck, further slowing him down. Despite all the problems, he finished 14th out 23 cars for the 50-lap race.

Aric will be off next weekend and will be back at the Motor Mile Speedway on May 21. Chris will be back at the Hickory Motor Speedway next Saturday.
